We Would Paint a Picture of This World
We would paint a picture of this morning
under a sun that we
have never seen before.
We would paint the sky
in the same familiar blue,
but the landscape
in heretofore unheard of colors.
We would paint a picture of yesterday
in disappearing pigments.
We would leave tomorrow
as the color of the canvas.
